GIRARD ROOFING

Is It Too In Your Upstairs Rooms?

Then you need an electric powered roof vent fan installed!

Lower the cost of your cooling bill

and make it coo
ler in your home, especially in the upstairs rooms of your house this summer!

Then save tons on your electric bill continuously after installation from now on every spring thru fall!

Temperatures can reach up to 160 degrees in your attic!

We will replace an existing power vent for
$175.00 (labor).

If yours is a completely new installation, hole needs cutting, electric installed, etc., the labor is
$285.00, saving you hundreds by not paying an electrician to come out.

We recommend the Air Vent Inc. high power 1500 CFM electric power vent.
Item #: 143360 (at Lowe's) Model#: 53862

If the 1500 CFM model is not available, the 1320 CFM model is good too, with only a negligible drop in air movement capacity. Item #: 185575 (at Lowe's) Model #: RV28WW

These models power vents are some of the largest available (1500 cubit feet per minute).  They are also the most well made on the market.  They have thicker metal construction & flashings, better braces, bolts etc. than most others.

Another great option is the "Master Flow" PR3XD power vent made by the GAF company

However, we will install whatever other power vent you may have already purchased, or choose to purchase elsewhere for the above labor cost mentioned. Other cheaper power vents can be purchased by you at Lowes, Home Depot, etc. for as low as $50.00 or so.  Even lower CFM (1170 CFM, etc.) power vents do much better than none at all!----Simple static vents, turbines, or ridge vents do not do near enough venting. Turbine bushings (bearings) wear out quickly making them squeak, etc.

We guarantee our power vent installations for at least two years not to leak, etc.  (Length of guarantee depends on the condition of the surrounding shingles).

Be sure to tell us if this will be a replacement of an existing power vent, or is will be an entirely new installation before we come out.

If the electrical line is already there because this is going to be a replacement for a burnt out or damaged pre-existing power vent, there is no extra charge for us to hook up that electric line to your new power vent. Total labor will be $175.00

Really with few exceptions, every home should have power vents (roof fans) installed!
Excess heat can damage the wood rafters; roof decking; cause nails to come loose (nail pops) from extreme temperature variation causing excess contraction & expansion of wood; premature shingle failure; cracks in drywall tape joints; can damage stored things in attic; even promote fires!

Warning:  Do not allow an electrician, homeowner, etc. to install your new power vent on the roof surface, as this could be dangerous for him, and the new power vent would probably leak, etc.!
